Mantis Flyaway Antenna ADVENT’s Mantis Flyaway Solution is a comprehensive range of lightweight, compact satellite terminals for all transportable applications. Available 1m, 1.2m, 1.9m and 2.4m antennas, in single, dual, tri and quad band configurations for C (excluding 1m and 1.2m), X, Ku, DBS and Ka bands. ADVENT’s proven market-leading technology delivers a high specification, rugged, reliable and easily transportable flyaway satellite system. It is designed to combine with ADVENT modulation and RF systems to provide a versatile solution for video, data and IP.

The systems have been designed to fit into a minimum number of transport housings (flight cases) for ease of carriage and assembly. Once at a site the antenna may be deployed and operational within 15 minutes, even in extreme weather conditions. Motorisation of both Azimuth and Elevations axis options are available for the Mantis 1.0m, 1.9m and 2.4m. Satellite acquisition, peaking and tracking of inclined orbit satellites is fully available when used in conjunction with the Advent Antenna Controller system. The Mantis Integrated Motorised Antenna System, available for the 1.9 and 2.4m antennas, is a military grade motorised system that can withstand the harshest of operating conditions. Incorporating a unique lift-assisted mount for rapid set-up in the field and providing integral three axis motorisation all housed with the mount and transported in specially designed rugged polyethylene flight cases. Satellite acquisition, peaking and tracking of inclined orbit satellites is fully available when used in conjunction with the Advent Antenna Controller system. The system is suitable for military field operations and remote broadcast locations.
