NewSwift Antenna The NewSwift Motorised System is a highly compact satellite earth terminal, designed for rapid deployment and capable of operating with most of the geostationary C, X, Ku, DBS and Ka band satellites, which are currently in orbit or are planned.
The NewSwift HD Motorised System is a variant of the popular highly compact NewSwift satellite earth terminal. The HD version allows the installation of larger amplifiers within the main antenna housing. The design also allows for easy feedhorn frequency changeover using a cartridge feed system.  Both systems have been designed to contain all the necessary RF equipment necessary to achieve a reliable transmission. The many variants allowed with this flexible design are contained within a stylised aerodynamic cover or remote in an operator’s environment. Provision is made for inclusion of up to two Up-Converters and a Protection Switch, which when used in conjunction with Advent’s Compact Redundant Power Combiner can meet the requirements for Redundant 1:1 and or Phase Combined operation, all within the NewSwift’s aerodynamic enclosure.
The antenna and associated parts may be mounted either on a vehicle or a permanent base while the control elements are mounted in a standard 19” rack system (or ½ x 19” width when utilising the 5000 Series of electronics) in a benign environment. ADVENT’s vast experience of integrating the innovative NewSwift range of motorised antennas onto a wide range of vehicles provides the flexibility and reliability to respond to an emergency more effectively. Hardly surprising given that every vehicle features ADVENT’s engineering expertise from the ground up.
